WWE Scraps Diva’s Brief Run with New Gimmick

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE has dropped Alicia Fox’s tantrum gimmick, which saw her “lose it” after match defeats and react oddly in front of the live crowd. The gimmick had people buzzing for awhile, but for whatever reason WWE has decided to drop it.

Zayn Talks KENTA in WWE

WWE NXT standout Sami Zayn was interviewed by Brian Fritz of BetweentheRopes.com at an Anti-Bullying rally in Orlando this week, and the following is what Zayn had to say regarding KENTA’s in WWE:
“I’m very excited. There’s a lot of good talent coming in, a lot of my kind of guys, world traveled, workrate, nose to the grindstone, gritty sort of passionate guys, which is what I personally believe in. Its great to see these guys get an opportunity. KENTA’s just been busting his butt for so long and killing it for so long. Its great to see him get an opportunity like this. I am really looking forward to hopefully wrestling him because I actually never have. I was supposed to wrestle him once, but he went down with a knee injury. I teamed with him a couple of times, but I’ve never actually had a one on one match with him. I look forward to that opportunity.”

SMACKDOWN RESULTS FROM FAYETTEVILLE, NC:

The following are results from Tuesday night's episode of WWE Main Event on the WWE Network:

- Main Event opens with a promo from The Miz, who has an announcement to make. Miz mocks LeBron James'
announcement that he's returning to Cleveland, saying he's leaving the city and upgrading to Hollywood. Miz says he's going to win the Intercontinental championship at Battleground, which brings out Sheamus. They hype their match for later tonight and Sheamus attempts a Brogue Kick, but Miz gets out of the way.

- Emma defeated Cameron with a rollup pin. After the match, Cameron attacked Emma until Naomi made the save.
- Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated RybAxel in a a very good match. The finish came when Kofi Kingston hit a top rope cross body on Curtis Axel, but Ryback broke it up. The babyfaces took out Ryback and Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise for the 3 count.

- A promo video airs hyping Sunday's WWE Battleground pay-per-view.

- Sheamus defeated The Miz in the main event. The finish came when Sheamus went for the Brogue Kick but The Miz ducked out of the way. Sheamus stopped and rolled up The Miz, who covered his "money maker" as Sheamus got the 3 count. Sheamus celebrated in the ring to end the show.
adamroseAccording to sources, Adam Rose being kept off Monday’s RAW broadcast had nothing to do with his injury as he worked a match on Superstars. Numerous WWE officials including Vince McMahon have already “cooled off” on his character. For what it’s worth, Vince is not completely sold on any of the new characters as of late including Paige and Bo Dallas. Of course, with Vince making all the key/final decisions, that doesn’t spell good news for their futures on the main roster.

In a recent production meeting, Kevin Dunn reportedly buried Rose and Vince didn’t seem to disagree. This is also the reason Paige has the WWE Divas title but has also had very little character development. Kevin Dunn is said to be very high on Alicia Fox right now, thus the reason for her current push. Expect to see more and more of her on WWE television in the coming weeks.
